Reporting Misconduct

The Children’s House of Wellington is committed to the safety and welfare of all students. Employees, educational support personnel, instructional personnel, and school administrators have a duty to report misconduct that affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student.

Reports of suspected misconduct by school personnel should be made to:

Employees who fail to report misconduct may be subject to disciplinary action, including termination, and may also be subject to penalties provided by Florida law. The school prohibits confidentiality agreements or employment references that conceal misconduct involving students.

Reporting Child Abuse, Abandonment, or Neglect

All employees have a duty to report actual or suspected child abuse, abandonment, or neglect. Employees who make a report in good faith are provided immunity from liability as provided by Florida law and must cooperate with child protective investigations.
